Most people know
the quote "Ready,
Aim, Fire", but all too often that leads
to paralysis of analysis. "Ready, Fire,
Aim" is how many successful investors do
it! They get Ready by learning
what they need to know and by assembling
tools and resources and usually take Action
before fully knowing everything. Every
great General knows that there are countless
things that can and will go wrong, even
with the best plans. THey know that the
key to winning is adjusting their plans
as the results of their actions. You can't
have any results to correct your "Aim"
until you take action and "Fire" first.
As Wayne Gretzky says, "You miss 100% of
the shots you never take." - Regardless
of what you know or what resources (tools)
you have unless you take action you get
nowhere.
Too many people buy books and courses
and yet never act on the knowledge they
have. They hope they'll get rich. They
wish they'll get rich. They wait for someone
else to make them rich. Sure - someone
wins the mega lottery or inherits a million
or two from a relative; lightening
sometimes strikes too!
How about you? Could you be successful
if you simply took more action? Many leaders
and successfully people say so.
The solution is
simple. Get off your duff. Take action. "The journey of 1,000 miles
begins with a single step".
Simple. Yeah right. "You don't understand",
"I would if I could, but I've got this
problem...", "If only I had more time (money,
knowledge, etc)...." Excuses, excuses.
It is Simple; it's just not easy.
The world is full of disadvantaged, handicapped,
couldn't wouldn't, shouldn't excuses. The
world is also full of people who took action
and succeeded in spite of impossible odds
and limitations and reasons that they couldn't,
wouldn't, or shouldn't. Most of them will
tell you that all it took was action to
achieve their success. Action and a lot
of hard work, trials and tribulation.
Even though the path to success was not
easy, simply taking action, again and again
and again, adjusting your aim each time
is the missing link that too many people
miss.
Wayne Gretzky did
not say "You make 100%
of the shots you take", he said "You miss
100% of the shots you don't take".
Get out there and take some shots - take
the action that's needed.
Note: no one ever said you have to take
action all by yourself. In fact not many
people succeed by themselves. Most rely
on a team and a coach to help them take
effective action.
